Reflexology and Reiki are therapies which treat not just the symptoms of your illness or disorder but also the cause. For example, if you tend to suffer from headaches or migraines both therapies will work on the head area to bring relief from pain but the whole body is treated and we may find that the headache is caused by stress, allergies or digestive problems. So we can work on those problems too. Painkillers only temporarly block the pain but they don't remove the cause. Pain is a sign that part of your body is not working as efficiently as it should. Both Reflexology and Reiki stimulates the body into finding balance and working more efficiently. The effects of stress, lack of exercise, bad diet and emotional trauma can cause malfunctions leading to pain, tiredness, illness and disorders. Both therapies are very relaxing and some clients actually fall asleep during the experience.
Reflexology is a form of accupressure. There are 7000 nerve endings on the feet which connect to organs, muscles, bones and glands. These nerve endings are stimulated using special pressure techniques, calming an overactive area and stimulating underactivity. The treatment begins and ends with a relaxing massage applied on the feet using a natural oil and will:
Induce a deep state of relaxation which will help improve your sleep patterns and enable you to de-stress;
Stimulate the circulation of blood and lymph supply to cells and tissues which will detoxify and nourish the whole body;
Stimulate the nervous system enabling enhanced energy and vitality.
After a treatment you will feel like you are walking on air!! Reflexology is especially good for treating pain, stress-related illness, hormone-related problems, arthritis and skin problems. It is also recommended for pregnant ladies during the last six weeks of pregnancy to help eliminate sleepless nights, ease back pain, tone muscles and balance hormones to prepare for labour. £25 per treatment (45 to 60 minutes). Reiki involves the laying on of hands on or just above energy centres (known as chakras), while you lie fully clothed on a salon bed. These chakras are connected to your glandular system. The thyroid gland is connected to the throat chakra. The treatment begins at the head and finishes at the feet. It is especially good for depression and lack of energy. Reiki also revitalises and detoxifies the body and speeds up the healing process. £25 per treatment (45 to 60 minutes). Book a course of 6 treatments and the last one is FREE.
Manicures and Pedicures are carried out as per the client's requirements. Client's are asked how they would like their nails shaped, if they are happy with the colour chosen and the finished result. French Manicures can be applied to extremely short nails too and can actually make your nails appear longer. See my website for a full list of nail services and prices.

Qualifications
March 2004: Anatomy and Physiology with the Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology Diploma.
5 October 2004 - Level 3 Diploma in Reflexology via the Association of Reflexologists.
28th November 2005 - First Degree Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki with Ciaran Corr, Newry.
8th March 2006 - Second Degree Reiki.
28th November 2007 - Manicures and Pedicures Cert with Olivia Rodgers Nail and Beauty Academy.
