Glen McCallister who lives in Banbridge had originally opened a Tyre business in Market Street, Tandragee, but had quickly outgrown the premises. This was a result of the quality of service, advice and competitive pricing he was providing to his customers.
GM Tyres is now in the current and larger premises at the bottom end of the town (entrance is via Gilford Street) and supplies tyres for motor cars, tractors and motor cycles. They are also part of the 'First Stop' network, a group of independent retailers approved by and supported by the world's largest manufacturer of tyres, Bridgestone. They also stock all major brand tyres and keeps a majority of tyres in stock – from budget to performance, ready to be fitted, while-u-wait!

FREE Tyre Health Check
Why not call in and allow us to check the condition of tyres and that they meet the legal tread limit. We can also check your tyre pressure to ensure it is correctly inflated – which can save on those fuel bills. We don’t do pressure sale tactics – just a genuine service to ensure that all is well with your tyres.
Wheel Balancing
If you notice a wobble when driving at certain speeds, we can re-balance your wheels. This can happen when the weights have come off your wheel, which can dislodge when you improperly park against a kerb.
Puncture Repairs
We repair punctures on tubed and tubeless tyres, including slow punctures. If you notice your tyres losing pressure over a long period of time, we can trace the source of the puncture and repair the tyre or replace the valve.
Wheel Alignment
When your wheels are improperly aligned, you will notice wearing on one side of the tyre, or your car may veer to one direction when you let go of the steering wheel. This is commonly caused by mounting the kerb or hitting a pothole at speed. We offer a wheel alignment service to ensure your vehicle runs straight and true!
